KENYA : Call for data journalism training applicants


If one of your career goals is to grow in your journalism and tell unique and impactful stories then sign –up for Internews in Kenya one-week data journalism workshop.

The workshop, that will be held from May 26 to May 30, in Nairobi, is open to journalists working for media outlets in Kenya.

The open data movement has made vast amounts of data and information available around the world. However, journalists are yet to maximize the use of the data to tell investigative and compelling stories because they are not skilled at sourcing and analyzing it.

After the training journalists will receive further mentoring to write good data journalism proposals . Based on the proposals they will be provided with travel grants that will enable them  identify and capture human voices to go with the data.

Enroll by sending your CV and two copies of health features done within the last six months to datadredger@internews.org
